Haha, after my initial grumpiness I let them curl up with me or at the foot of my bed. A downside to it is that one of my cats snores so I can’t get back to sleep xD

I get really grumpy with them for waking me up, but they normally do it because they are cold or want company so I feel bad afterwards. They make up for it though, like they will sit with me when I’m ill and let me hug them =)

A lot of my friends who live on farms would agree with you there!
I love both cats and dogs, I just haven’t been around a dog for a long time so it’s just getting used to him, I don’t even know why I get a little nervous as he is adorable! My cats are wonderful too, although they can also be very annoying when they jump on me at 4am (which they do a lot)!

Aww, Monty is still a puppy as he is only three years old. He is so strong too, only my mum’s boyfriend can handle him on the leash at the moment until he settles down and he even drags him around sometimes!
One of my cats refused to come upstairs with me, as he didn’t want to give up his “territory” to Monty, so I had to carry him. He wasn’t too happy about that! =P

My family and I went to visit the kennels today where Monty was being kept. I just wanted to take every dog there home with me, I’m glad that my mum and her boyfriend went without me to pick a dog; I wouldnt have been able to do it!
The kennel’s are running out of space at the moment, so they let us bring Monty home today which was a wonderful surprise! He is even more gorgeous in...

My mum told me some unexpected news, we are going to adopt a dog! His previous owner couldn’t keep him anymore because of “work commitments”, whatever that means. He is a chocolate Labrador, he is three years old and his name is Monty. My mum took pictures of him to show me and my sister and he is adorable. =)
We also have three cats, so it will be interesting to see what...

I recieved a letter in the post today inviting me for another interview! I am excited for both of my interviews now, although it’s a shame nothing more will happen after this particular interview as I recently found out I won’t be able afford the travel costs to get there. It’s slightly disappointing, but I’ve come to accept things like that will happen a lot, plus...

Taking a short break from watching one of my streaming lectures I bought a while back with Marshall Vandruff, there is close to five hours of pure knowledge and so far it’s blown my mind. I didn’t know that in our legs we have around 16 muscles! 16! He is such an amazing teacher, I can see myself watching this repeatedly because there is so much information.
Unimportant piece of...

Oh, I forgot… this probably isn’t of any interest to anyone but oh well.
I finally managed to buy a good quality portfolio for a reasonable price today. The art shop in the city were having a sale, and I managed to buy an A1 portfolio which came with 5 free plastic sleeves for £35, reduced from £75. A bargain! The only downside is that the portfolio is literally half the size of me,...

I actually managed to find some Life Drawing classes which are close enough for me to be able to travel to them easily. Sadly, the venue has decided that attendants have to be 18 and over and I don’t become 18 until 22 days after the class date. A little disheartened when I found that out, as I didn’t realise they now put age restrictions on the classes.
Still, it’s not that bad...

My new book arrived today, and it looks even prettier in real life. I’ve read all of my favouite sonnets and have already discovered some new ones I hadn’t read before which are wonderful. It also smells all new which is lovely, but I will always prefer the smell of an old book. Yes, I do smell my books, it’s all a part of my process of enjoying a good book!

I decided to try out the new watercolours and brushes I got for christmas… currently waiting for the wash to dry so I can carry on painting. I’m so glad I did, the brushes seem to working wonderfully at the moment, and I’ve remembered why I love watercolours so much =D

Despite feeling rather tired today, I’m in quite a good mood. I’ve nearly finished my research into the history of symbols such as hieroglyphs for my art project, I just need to prepare the boards I have to mount it all onto. There are a lot of ideas going around in my head at the moment for my art exchange gift too, although I can’t decide which ideas to create.
Also, I ordered...
