Aaah my fuchsia blue angel plant is growing and I can’t wait for it to start flowering because it will be beautiful! Another Orchid flower opened up today as well and they look so gorgeous, and yes I now have flowers in my bedroom as I’ve always wanted some so finally decided to get them. It was difficult to pick which flowers to have, I would love Lillies but they are poisonous to...

I’ve set myself the goal of filling a sketchbook with drawings and sketches for my final major project over easter, which is fine. However, I picked the thickest sketchbook I have, which probably has double the amount of pages of a normal sketchbook (not an accurate measurement of page numbers but I’d rather not count!). I think I can do it, but I may go slightly insane at the same...

Tonight I met two friends by the lake and we had a lovely catch up. It was really nice as we could see a lot of stars as it’s far enough away from the main part of town to avoid quite a lot of the light pollution. It was quite dark but the moon lit the lake up nicely, and it was nice to see a friend whom I hadn’t seen for a long while! Hopefully we’ll do it again very soon.

Today has been a good day, the weather is still glorious so after University I got to sit in the garden and sketch some more for my final project. I treated myself to a lovely fruit smoothie from the best Milkshake place I’ve ever been to, the Hippy Hippy Shake Company! (If anyone has heard of it, it could be just a local thing) It’s the first time I’ve had a smoothie from there...

Working out what materials we need and the costs, we’ve been given £230 (max) to create an interactive textile Medusa head. The snakes are going to be able to bend as they’ll have wire inside, and we’ll be painting on the snake patterns ourselves! Who knew maths would be part of an art course!

Oh wow, it’s been compliment overload today! A woman in the street said to me “Your hair is gorgeous! Is it naturally that curly?” which is a question I get quite often but it was lovely that she took the time to say that to me. I also helped a fellow student with his final major project, he;s looking at facial expressions and I had to pose for a few photographs. He’s just...

I finished the book today! If you haven’t read The Divine Comedy, because like me you never got round to it; go read it now. You won’t regret it.

Sigh… I think my card details have been stolen again. I thought something was wrong when I saw that 3 had billed me twice for my contract, but quickly realised one transaction isn’t with 3. I googled the name that appeared on my bank statement and quite a few people are saying it’s a scam set up to look like a mobile contract. How on earth they got hold of my details I have no...

British summer time begins… that darn hour is taken away again! Still, it’s always lovely when you get an extra hour when the clocks go back.

The Divine Comedy is brilliant so far, some parts can be hard to get your head around as the names of some of the historic figures mentioned have been lost in time/you’ll only know them if you are an extreme histroy buff, but the book has a section after each Canto to explain the names mentioned so it’s good. That doesn’t detract from how great it is, I’m going to read...

Spent the afternoon shopping for various things, ended up picking up Memoirs of A Geisha in a charity shop for £1! I always buy books from charity shops, as if you look and are patient for long enough the books you want will always be there one day. I just love second hand books a lot more than new ones, they have more character. I then helped my mum in the kitchen where she’s busy cooking...

It’s odd sitting in my studio reading, but I’m really enjoying the book so far! I’m now on Canto X, all I can say is studying English literature is paying off now, there’s a lot of archaic language!

I’ve enjoyed life drawing a lot these past couple of days, and I’m surprised I remember a lot of what I learnt from my sessions before christmas! It all just came back to me after I warmed up a little and got into drawing the human form. I don’t think I’d be ashamed to show people these drawings, I wouldn’t even show my family the drawings from last year, apart from...

I'm installing Star Trek Online
wilwheaton: draxion: For the sole purpose of seeing if “Sparks McGee” is already taken. For if it is not, I am going to make the man described as “Wesley Crusher, in a cowboy hat and muscle car. He also kills people.” That was a quote from me, five minutes ago. If it is…well…I’ve got ten gigs of a game I’m never going to play. At least it’s on Steam. EDIT: It worked. Now I’m killing people...

Life drawing started today, and it went a lot quicker than I thought! One downside is that everyone went dressed for a room that’s normally really hot, but we found out it was freezing! So most of the day was spent shivering. We also didn’t have a model for some reason, so we all took it in turns doing 10 minute (clothed, of course). Also the class for today was looking at clothes on...

I should probably go to sleep now, I start life drawing tomorrow and for the rest of the week, so I don’t want to be tired! I’m looking forward to the life drawing lessons, it’s just the room I dislike, it gets so hot because of the LED lights around the room and last time I nearly fainted. Deary me!

My mum loved her Mothers Day gifts and card, it was even more of a surprise for her as she completely forgot it was even Mothers Day! Still, I don’t blame her for forgetting it, with all that’s been happening really. I’m so glad she liked the gifts!

Mothers Day card is finished, now everything is organised for tomorrow! I hope she likes it all now. I actually prefer to make cards rather than buy one, I guess it shows more thought than going to buy a ready made card from a shop. I think I’ll start making cards for all special occasions!

So, I’m having a whole weekend doing nothing art-related so I have a (small) rest before I begin life drawing for the whole of next week and begin my Final Major Project. Once my mum finishes her cooking and baking in the kitchen I’m going to bake some Strawberry cupcakes! I’m looking forward to the icing the most… haha!

I’ve bought the Mothers Day presents, although she hinted that she wanted a spice rack and I’m disappointed that I couldn’t find one anywhere. I’m sure she’ll like what I’ve bought for her though! Now I just have to make her the card and then that’s everything ready for tomorrow.

[[MORE]] No Jenna! Stop it! Stop it now. You’re too old for crushes now, especially when you know nothing will ever come of it. You don’t really know him either!

One thing I’ve noticed I’m doing more of recently… talking about nothing. Or, to be brutally honest with myself, talking a bunch of crap. I didn’t used to be like that, so what happened? I used to be very shy, and as my confidence grew I came ‘out of my shell’ more. For some reason I thought that meant talking more, it didn’t really matter what I said,...

Confirmation email from Amazon about three books I returned to them for a refund… I got slightly more than I expected! I returned them so I had money to buy my mum a mothers day gift, as my student loan has vanished despite my best efforts at keeping to my budget (so many costs came up this year!). It turns out that they were more than I thought and got a refund of £20! It’s the simple...

I’m waiting for the bus home now, it’s been a busy day! I was so nervous before pitching our idea, as my group was last… I had to remember to breathe and I was shaking so much. But when I was talking people said I didn’t sound nervous. I definitely felt it! Now 3 ideas have been picked, and we have to make a full sized section for Friday when they’ll pick the final...

[[MORE]] Just putting this under read more as I know some people don’t want to read this kind of thing/rant. Don’t say I didn’t warn you… Well, my “date” I had last month with a guy I thought was great… didn’t go anywhere. In fact, since then he has completely ignored me, and only text me last week because his best friend (the girl I met him...
