Tonight I met two friends by the lake and we had a lovely catch up. It was really nice as we could see a lot of stars as it’s far enough away from the main part of town to avoid quite a lot of the light pollution. It was quite dark but the moon lit the lake up nicely, and it was nice to see a friend whom I hadn’t seen for a long while! Hopefully we’ll do it again very soon.

Today has been a good day, the weather is still glorious so after University I got to sit in the garden and sketch some more for my final project. Working out what materials we need and the costs, we’ve been given £230 (max) to create an interactive textile Medusa head. The snakes are going to be able to bend as they’ll have wire inside, and we’ll be painting on the snake patterns ourselves! Who knew maths would be part of an art course!

The Divine Comedy is brilliant so far, some parts can be hard to get your head around as the names of some of the historic figures mentioned have been lost in time/you’ll only know them if you are an extreme histroy buff, but the book has a section after each Canto to explain the names mentioned so it’s good. Life drawing started today, and it went a lot quicker than I thought! One downside is that everyone went dressed for a room that’s normally really hot, but we found out it was freezing! My mum loved her Mothers Day gifts and card, it was even more of a surprise for her as she completely forgot it was even Mothers Day! Still, I don’t blame her for forgetting it, with all that’s been happening really. I’m so glad she liked the gifts!

Mothers Day card is finished, now everything is organised for tomorrow! I hope she likes it all now. I actually prefer to make cards rather than buy one, I guess it shows more thought than going to buy a ready made card from a shop. I think I’ll start making cards for all special occasions!

So, I’m having a whole weekend doing nothing art-related so I have a (small) rest before I begin life drawing for the whole of next week and begin my Final Major Project.
